Friday post!

Hey everyone!

I can’t believe it’s already Friday again!
We got some awesome new jewelry in today from a new vendor called Sea Of Bees.  Here are just a few pieces we got in.

Awesome stuff right?

People have been coming in all day dropping off coffins for the Day of the Dead show November 5th. And I have to say, I am really impressed with everyone’s work. I still have a lot of work to do on mine, oops!

I hope everyone has a scary Halloween and a good weekend! Don’t forget, deadline for your coffin is Sunday October 30th!
BOO!

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

I love the holidays. For me they begin with the arrival of the first faux Christmas trees. Not when the Halloween candy arrives in store; September’s too soon and I’m holding onto the last of summer. It’s official for me now; I carved jack-o-lanterns with my family, watched It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, and made a pumpkin puree with my sister to make muffins tomorrow. Life is good.

Continuing on a festive note, here are some Halloweenie goodies we’ve got in store!

Phantom Brothers by Leila, the jeweler and artist behind Redheart 13.

Card by Kate Funk

Death/Traitors Tees

And you’ll have to come check out the rest! The store’s looking spooky as well. *cackles in a witchy voice*

And since I’m so stoked about making muffins with fresh pumpkin puree tomorrow morning, here’s a recipe! Save the guts of your pumpkins, people!

Buenos Noches, readers!

Healthy Pumpkin Muffins
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush 12 jumbo muffin tins (each with a 1-cup capacity) with oil; set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk flours, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and baking soda; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk oil, pumpkin puree, yogurt, eggs, and 1 cup sugar to combine; add 1 cup walnuts and reserved dry ingredients. Mix just until moistened (do not overmix).
  • Divide evenly and spoon batter into muffin tins; sprinkle tops with remaining walnuts and sugar. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 5 minutes in pan.
