New Windows!

Happy Tuesday All!

We always try to keep the windows looking fresh for ya’ll, so today they got a little sprucing up. Come see!

We’re in the thick of football season and if you’re like me you’re trying to gracefully weather the relentless yells of  “you gotta catch that!” and “Go [insert football player's name]!! coming from the living room..or maybe you like football! Either way, Atlanta Vintage Travel’s classic football prints are the perfect way to show your pride…or your support of someone else’s pride!

Anddd….even though Fall is in full effect and we’re enjoying all the red, yellow, and gold around, you can still keep a little green inside all winter with gorgeous succulents from from Southeast Succulents (local!). Add a few of the handmade concrete candle holders and you’ve got a beautiful centerpiece or window sill decoration!

YBGB Makeover!

Good Evening All!

Our exterior spruce-up is complete! For the last month we’ve pressure washed, peeled, brushed, rolled, nailed, stained, drilled, scrubbed, sanded, scraped, taped, draped…and battled against flying wood chips and rain! (oh yes, it was as epic as it sounds!)

Here’s a little before and after, but come in person and see for yourself! We have so many great new things in the shop right now!

Fall in the Atl

For all of you who haven’t been counting down, the first day of fall is coming up on September 22nd. Fall in Atlanta is one of our more happenin’ times, and this weekend is kind of its jumping off point.
The goings-ons:
The 4th annual Atlanta Arts Festival runs September 18-19 in Piedmont Park from 10a.m.-7p.m. on Saturday and 10a.m.-6p.m. on Sunday. I know where I’ll be going on my day off! I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never been; the prospect of 200+ vendors to peruse is too good to pass up.

Sometime before or after the Arts Festival, you should make your way to Young Blood for the Traveling Trunk Show, which will be up from 2-7 p.m. Come see us! :)

Tomorrow also marks the 13th year of the East Atlanta Strut. Here’s the deal-io from their site:

10:00AM to 10:00PM

East Atlanta Village
Flat Shoals Ave at Glenwood Ave

“Now in its 13th year, the East Atlanta Strut is a FREE community organized, one-day festival, featuring live music, art and events…including Atlanta’s quirkiest parade! The day starts off with a 5k STRUT.
All proceeds from the day go to neighborhood charities and organizations and support local businesses.”

We’ve been getting some new fall stuff in store as well, so come by and see what we got!

New Stuff!!

Bonjour Amigos!

Last night’s show was so much fun! Sanithna Phansavanh’s work looked(looks) beautiful and the Modern Skirts put on a killer show!

If you didn’t get a chance to make it out last night, make sure you stop by and see the show before the 26th, you don’t want to miss it!

And…the weather is amazing today! Fall is in the air and I’ve been waiting for fall since..well, last fall! Can’t wait until the leaves start a’changin…

Speaking of changes, we’ve got a new section in the store!
It’s the “New at Young Blood” table, right in front. It’s your go to spot for our latest additions so don’t forget to take a look!

A few of our new items this month include:

Supa-cool cards and prints by Dr. Kennedy Jones

Adorable wallets and buttons by PollyDanger

And, fall means Halloween, (the best holiday in my book) and these insanely cute plushies by Lowell and Son make me smile every time I pass them. The bat/cat has little purple wings on the back!

Again I’ll say, don’t forget to stop by the show-It’s gorgeous.

Enjoy this weather!
