Hey everyone!
We have been refilling the store with new product and Rebecca has been working hard to get the shop into tip top shape again after holiday madness!
Things are getting moved around and reorganized and the shop is slowly restoring itself back to a cluttered wonderland of pretty things.
Card season is still going strong after Christmas. Valentines Day is coming up soon and January is filled with some pretty awesome birthdays (Jen and I). Or if you want to send any thank you cards out to the people who didn’t send you coal for Christmas, we are your one stop shop for cards. We always have such a great collection of witty and funny cards. Plus, who doesn’t like getting something in the mail besides bills??
Here are some new cards in from Cracked Designs! I love all of their cards and there is one for any occasion, even just to be silly.

Inside says “Baby, I wanna butter your bread.”
uhh, can you say ROMANCE??

Depending on who you are giving it to, you might be able to circle both…

Amen brother. This is a graduation card.
Anyways, plenty of cards for every occasion.
Come on in and see the store as it transforms everyday! More stuff is on the way! Also, we still have prints that need to be given good homes from the Southern Printmakers show!
Have a great day!

Hey ladies and gents,
In preparation for our upcoming opening this Saturday, I’d like to share some of our newest card and print vendors with you.
Elizabeth of Wildhorse Press has made her home in Kansas among fields of sunflowers, and perhaps the occasional tornado, along with her two trusty Chandler & Price letterpresses. We’re pleased to be carrying a lovely selection of Wildhorse’s cards and prints, handcrafted with love for you.
Tepee Moving Card Set
Guitar Print (we also have a harmonica and autoharp still in stock)
Tooth Fairy Mail! These printed envelopes will keep those precious teef’ (and money from the tooth fairy) safe under your kid’s pillow. No stray teeth rolling under the bed!
Yasmin of Quill and Fox Design lives and works in Portland, Oregon. In addition to creating beautiful cards, Quill and Fox also specializes in custom invitations–check out the lookbook, seriously, they’re incredible.
Now these are how you say thank you!
I can’t tell you how much I love these terrarium postcards. I was going to post suggesting that you frame them, and one of our customers pre-empted me by informing me that that’s exactly what she was planning on doing. But assuming you haven’t thought the same already, these postcards would make lovely wall art as well as mail.
See you all at the opening this Saturday, and happy hump day!

This evening I’d like to give you all a little info about one of our fantastic new vendors.
Steel Petal Press‘s Shayna K. will be sending us some more of her (already sold out) “Love from the Dirty South” cards, which make fun alternative cards for the holidays, as a “greetings from”/postcard hello, or just a good ol’ fashioned note in the mail.

We also have some more traditional, but still gorgeous, season’s greetings cards…

And other non-holiday sentiments
Fave!

From the lovely Shayna’s site, a mini statement:
Steel Petal Press is a Chicago based printing and letter press operation, run by me, Miss Shayna.
I am dedicated to making high quality letterpress cards and custom invitations with an edge that offer an alternative to Hallmark’s sappy-sweet. Influenced by vintage illustrations I use clean, simple designs and print every card by hand.
I love the mechanics, machinery and process of letterpress printing as well as the gorgeous impression each print leaves on a page. I hand feed each card individually through the press making each one slightly different and unique in it’s own way.
I am aware of the environmental repercussions of creating paper products in our current time. My cards are not cheap, disposable supermarket cards. Each is like it’s own work of art meant to be appreciated and kept. For my announcements, invitations and custom work I use 100% Crane’s recycled paper.
Come on into the shop and check out some more of this fabulous artist’s designs!
much love,
Stephanie
