We’ve got some new products from Nikki McClure in stock! Her calendars and Slingshot organizers are available.
Nikki’s calendars feature strong verbs that motivates and inspires action on an image of everyday life. The images themselves are original papercuts, meaning they were cut from a single piece of paper. They are printed on acid-free paper with soy ink and by union-labor.
The Slingshot organizer features important dates for the year, contact lists for radical group organizations, and interesting information on issues such as police repression. It’s made with a tough binding and laminated cover and is made for pockets. The independent newspaper Slingshot is funded through the sales of the Slingshot organizer.

“Nikki McClure of Olympia, Washington is known for her painstakingly intricate and beautiful paper cuts. Armed with an X-acto knife, she cuts out her images from a single sheet of paper and creates a bold language that translates the complex poetry of motherhood, nature, and activism into a simple and endearing picture.”

This week we are excited to have a new shipment from Kevin Lucius! He is a graphic designer from Chicago who creates one-of-a-kind, vintage, and animal inspired art. Kevin mounts and stains his woodblock prints (as seen below) personally.
We also received a new shipment of amazing jewelery from Moon Raven Designs. The jewelery is hand crafted by a married couple in Vancouver, Canada. Their inspiration comes from the wildlife surround British Columbia, particularly Ravens and Crows.

We excited to carry a new vendor, Patrice Cake Metalsmithing!
Patrice uses traditional metalsmithing tools to cut, saw, file, hammer and engrave, and is trying to reveal the softness in copper, silver and gold. Her goal in each piece can loosely be described as sort of a layered simplicity which aims to find a permanent comfortable spot on the body.
